Sketches and insperations

These are some 30 minute spraypaint “brain candy” that I have gotten hooked on. Maybe cliche’ however they feel satisfying and peaceful.

These are mostly just relaxing images, quotes, and thoughts. It was very difficult getting back into harsh mountain and nature creation after visiting the soothing island.

More excavating and application of more media and paint.

This has more collage and texture added. I have tried to redistribute lights and darks to create more balance.

India ink was allowed to run round the texture

More unearthing and painting. There was not much more build-up.

New Work

This is a continuations of “The Woods”. It is a 4′ X 2′ piece on plywood. The starting point is in an earlier blog. I am planning to build the “roots” up more. I also think there needs to be a few more dark areas.
